The oldest cave art that still exists today is believed to be over 40.000 years old and can be found in El Castillo cave in Cantabria. Although these prehistoric artists lacked the tools,  techniques and knowledge of modern artists, some were quiet skilled in art. A number of images show volume with contour lines, movement through repetition and depth with overlapping and relative size tecniques.
